Stairmaster

OK! Here's 'Step Up the Stairs', hot off the presses and clocking in at 6:21.

A lot of times people just can't let things go -- they bring their rear-view mirror along with them wherever they go and they keep a tight hold of all the disappointments they've had. All I'm saying with this one is just make a choice to let that stuff go.

And, I'm saying, hey, let's get going. There's no sense just standing around thinking about the things you want to do or the life you want to have. 'A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step', and all that stuff.

You don't want to be paralyzed by fear, indecision and doubt -- and all the times we tried and failed before. It's gonna happen. And you know, unless something truly crazy happens soon, we're all gonna end up in a box underground at some point. So, just forget about everything. It's time to start moving.

Probably my favorite moments in this one, are the third chorus -- 'bigger than life-size'. That big harmony reminds me of Kansas or Journey or something. Also there's some Yes flavor in the outro vocal part. We love Yes flavor. Pretty happy with the way this turned out. May need a couple tweaks here and there.

Those of you who want to know what is said in the 'whisper section'?

I'll never tell! ;-)

So, check this one out -- let me know what you think!
